Ashford Varnished DOUBLE DRIVE Spinning Wheel Bobbin Used Excellent

Unlike almost all of my other spinning wheel items that are listed, which are manufactured new by me, these (standard) DOUBLE DRIVE bobbins are genuine Ashford products which are not new, but are in excellent, almost-new, used condition. They have been hand-finished with a coat of matt varnish, to give them lasting protection against dirt, finger prints, lanolin, etc. They are equipped with a black nylon/plastic bush at each end for smoother running.

Approximate length 115mm, approximate width of pulleys 60mm and 40mm.

Bobbin capacity: approximately 100g (3.5oz).

Compatible with the (standard) Ashford Double Drive flyer and whorl.

Compatible with the following Ashford spinning wheels:

Elizabeth (when set up as double drive)

Wee Peggy - Ashford-made; not the earlier Rappard-made ones. To help identify whether you have an Ashford or a Rappard Wee Peggy, the Ashford model has eight wheel spokes, whilst the Rappard has six, plus the Ashford has four wheel rim sections (felloes), whilst the Rappard has six.
